The inaugural Castañer workshop was established in 1927. Since then, we have transformed a traditionally popular shoe into a sophisticated product that is deeply intertwined with design and fashion. Our collaboration with Yves Saint Laurent in the 1970s marked a significant moment in fashion history, as we jointly created the first wedge espadrille. Today, after 90 years, our products are enjoyed worldwide, yet our essence remains as genuine as it was in 1927: rooted in tradition, craftsmanship, and natural materials.
